Help! Not just any bodies.

We need the right kind of bodies. And in this labor market, it's hard to find employees with the right stuff--but it's not impossible if you know what to ask.

Carefully chosen interview questions can help you hire the right employees right away. Have a little fun and choose questions that reveal more than just an applicant's skills and previous job experience.

You'll have a better sense of "who" this applicant is, and "how" they will fit in with your existing team if you break out of the predictable interview format.

Here are some fun "Cage Rattling Questions" to try:

• Describe the best boss you've worked for.
• What do you think is a restaurant's #1 ingredient for success?
• What was the biggest mistake you've made at work? What did you learn from it?
• What was the dumbest professional activity your last employer did?
• If you could create a new, unique position for yourself here, one that utilized your skills and talents to the fullest, what would it be?
• If I were to ask your previous supervisor what your best quality is, what would he or she say?
• Name your three favorite restaurants, and describe why you like them.
• If a customer became very angry about an incorrect order, how would you handle the situation?
• Why did you decide to apply for a job here?
• Define customer service.
• Why do you like waiting/waitressing? Give examples.
• Do you like to work independently or as part of a team? Why?
